Armadillium Vulgare - "Gem Mix"

We are a readily reproducing collection of species of isopod. Our ideal temperature range is 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Some of our favorite foods include: oak leaves, cuttlebone, zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, commercially available bug diets and other protein rich foods. Like with most isopods, our main diet is that of decaying organic matter such as hardwood leaves so please make sure to keep our substrate layer well stocked with leaves! We are more resilient to dry conditions than some other isopod species.

  • Please include picture of your invoice/packing slip and your insects

Overnight Shipping is available through FedEx Overnight.

• If you have chosen a high value species ($80+), this will be the default and only shipping option available.
• *IMPORTANT* - Shipping may be postponed during periods of inclement temperature conditions.
  • Temperatures less than 45 Degrees Fahrenheit (Origin and Destination)
  • Temperatures greater than 80 Degrees Fahrenheit (Origin and Destination)

We care about your new insects having a safe journey to their new homes. For this reason, we are unable to ship our insects with any shipping option less than FedEx 2-Day Priority Mail and do not offer economy shipping.
